Counseling Services

Welcome.

Engaging in therapy can be an integral part of taking good care of yourself, especially in times of stress, change or when old stuff (the effects of trauma big or small) interferes with the way you want to live your life. Finding a therapist who meets your particular needs is another piece of the puzzle—hopefully I can help with that!

If you would like to work on spending more time in the present moment, skillfully working through difficult emotions and relating to yourself in a more compassionate way, we might be a good fit. My approach is collaborative, warm and transparent—I’m always happy to share why we do what we’re doing in therapy.

I draw from mindfulness-based and trauma-healing modalities; you can read more about these on the “Approaches” tab. Social justice, anti-oppression work and fat liberation also heavily inform my practice.

In our work together, my goal is to empower you to cultivate a deeper connection with yourself, find meaning and purpose in your life, and create positive change that aligns with your values. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, disordered eating, body image issues or navigating life transitions, I am here to support you every step of the way.

I currently only see adults 18 and older via Telehealth.

Hi! I’m Katie.

I grew up in Oregon and am so proud to be part of the mental health community here. I received my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis & Clark College in 2015. Since then, I’ve worked in various mental health settings, including hospitals, intensive outpatient programs doing group therapy and day treatment for eating disorders. Currently, I really enjoy working with folks in individual therapy to do the longer-term work of healing from the past and caring for themselves in the here and now.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our two wonderful kiddos. I’m a big fan of reading and word games, learning new things and love an engrossing or funny TV show—it’s not uncommon for me to make pop culture references in session.
